Slovak retail: the percentage of domestic products can be read on the door
In Slovakia, the retail chains were required to inform the purchasers of the origin of products: the tables containing theses informations must be placed on the entrance of the store.
On 5 February 2013, the Slovak parliament approved a bill, which would require the retail stores to inform the costumers on the entrance of the store and on their online platforms, that how many percentage of their offered goods were made in Slovakia.
A legal provision should by applied to large retail networks, which have an annual turnover of over 10 million euros. However, the smaller chains should inform the Ministry of Agriculture twice a year about the origin of their products. (marketinginfo.hu)
