Foreign trade turnover rose by 8 percent with Russia
In the first seven months, Hungary’s foreign trade turnover rose by 8.1 percent with Russia, compared to the previous year, reaching a total of 7.1 billion dollars – Szijjártó Péter, Government Commissioner for Hungarian-Russian economic relations said at the VI. Hungarian-Russian Economic Forum and International Business Meeting in Budapest on Friday.
In his opening speech, Szijjártó Péter stressed that exports to Russia increased by 11 percent, while imports increased by 7 percent, so exports grow faster than imports. He called it another positive process, that within the exports, agricultural and food exports increased by 22 percent and a rearrangement can be seen in the export structure in favor of these products.
