LG announces organizational changes to achieve its 2030 vision
LG Electronics (LG) announced a number of organizational changes and executive appointments following approval by the board of directors. The reorganization aims to help the company achieve its mid- to long-term strategy, “Future Vision 2030,” by enhancing inter-organizational synergy and innovating its business portfolio.
The reorganization involves realigning LG’s corporate operating units* to better leverage potential across business areas, strengthen platform-based service processes, accelerate B2B initiatives, and create growth engines in promising industries. The changes aim to enhance efficiency by strategically selecting and concentrating capabilities, thereby creating greater synergy across business activities and strengthening future competitiveness.
LG has appointed qualified individuals with exceptional expertise to lead the transformation, emphasizing its commitment to enhancing the company’s long-term competitiveness through the development of high-performing business units.
Key changes in business structure
A new company will be established to support the growth of the heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) business, which is a key element of LG’s continued growth in the B2B sector. The Overseas Sales & Marketing Company will now be responsible for managing the international B2B sector. In addition, display-related processes, including TVs, monitors and commercial displays, will be integrated to improve synergy and expand platform-based service businesses. The new growth engines will be strategically concentrated in companies with greater business relevance, creating a more stable unity among the business areas.
All four companies now have the word “Solution” in their names, reflecting LG’s transformation into a smart solutions provider that connects and enhances customer experiences across multiple environments, including homes, commercial spaces, mobility and virtual platforms.
