Applications are open for the Startup Plastic Surgery program, which for the third time provides support to startups looking for solutions to the environmental and health challenges caused by plastic. Until October 10, teams of at least two people who can contribute to the renewal of the plastics industry and a carbon-neutral future with their innovative ideas, products or technologies are invited to the accelerator program.
After two successful years, the Startup Plastic Surgery incubation program was launched for the third time, Hungary’s first initiative for startups that offers help to startups aiming to rethink the use of plastic. The four-month program launched by the Climate Innovation Community supports selected startups with industry-focused professional support, business coaching and networking events, and forms marketable businesses from early-stage ideas. The organizers of the program are waiting until October 10 for the applications of those who wish to renew the industry with their innovative ideas in the field of plastic substitute products, plastic production and recycling, new technological solutions or consumer habits related to plastic products. At the end of the four-month period, the teams can present their development curve in a final competition, and the best can get a direct accelerated investment opportunity thanks to the Hiventures collaboration. The main supporter of the program, ROSSMANN Hungary, offers special prizes to help startups on their way to market, all completely free of charge.
From idea to reality!
The main goal of the Startup Plastic Surgery program is to help enterprising innovators who want to realize their early-stage ideas. Packaging materials play an extremely important role in the cosmetics industry and in other areas as well, and nothing proves this better than the volume of the industry showing an annual increase of 3.5-4%, of which nearly 40% is produced as packaging material. These data provide an extraordinary opportunity to introduce new, climate-friendly industrial technologies. Thus, it can be confidently stated that greentech companies in the plastics industry therefore have a huge opportunity and even a task in the coming years. There have already been many examples of how many different ways you can get started in the colorful world of recycling, and there are still endless untapped opportunities for the further development of greentech innovations.
Do you also have an idea for rethinking plastics?
Then don’t hesitate, you can still apply for the Startup Plastic Surgery program until October 10th, where through business coaching, professional support, networking events and investment opportunities for the best, we will ensure that during the 4-month development period, we will shape the company into a marketable and economically viable business initial phase startup ideas within the framework of support of up to HUF 15 million! In addition, Rossmann awards a special prize to the most promising cosmetic solution (packaging, product or other innovation) and invites them to work together. In this regard, they can cover the costs of the development of the prototype, or even provide free shelf display as a non-refundable grant to the selected startup.
