We love tomatoes and peppers
Tomatoes and peppers are top of the Hungarian vegetable consumption list with their 9 and 12 percent share. Compared to decades, the per capita consumption of vegetables and fruits has increased, writes agrarszektor.hu based on the publication of DélkerTÉSZ in Szentes, which cooperates with more than 500 producers.
The basic components of letcho, tomatoes and peppers are in a prominent place in Hungarian cuisines, and according to the data of the KSH, the consumption of vegetables and fruits per capita has also increased in a decade. In 2010, on average, less than 38 kilos of fruit were consumed per capita, but in 2019, consumption exceeded 53 kilos. (agrarszektor.hu)
