Lidl will implement another 10 percent wage increase from September
Lidl Hungary has decided on another wage increase, as of September 1, the company will implement a uniform 10 percent wage increase for employees working in stores, physical workers in warehouses, warehouse department managers and regional managers, so in 2023 it will spend a total of HUF 63.7 billion on wage costs – the department store chain informed MTI on Monday.
According to the announcement, as a result of the established salary structure, the base salary of manual workers, regional managers and warehouse department managers increased by at least 21 and even 43 percent compared to January.
With an 8-hour working relationship, the salary of store employees is on average between HUF 452 thousand and HUF 587 thousand gross, while store managers receive salaries between HUF 993 thousand and HUF 1 million 217 thousand and regional managers between HUF 970 thousand and HUF 1 million 570 thousand gross. In addition, store managers and regional managers receive a premium category car with unlimited private use, which is entirely financed by the store chain. Physical workers working in logistics centers receive an average gross salary of between HUF 473,000 and HUF 764,000.
