Production prices in September: +1.2 percent
According to the Central Statistical Office (KSH), in September 2015 agricultural production prices increased by 1.2 percent from the level of September 2014. The price of vegetable products increased 8.5 percent, but the price of livestock/products of animal origin fell 9.1 percent from the base period level. Cereal crops cost 2.1 percent more but potato’s price only grew 0.7 percent; however, fruits became 22.8 percent more expensive. In January-September 2015 agricultural production prices reduced by 4.7 percent.
