Széchenyi Rest Card: encouraging card payment is a national economic goal
The Government develops a support system to ensure that the smaller tourism operators to obtain POS terminals that are essential to the discount card payments – told Körtvélyessy László, Ministerial Commissioner responsible for the issuing and use of the Széchenyi Rest Card on Monday in Veszprém.
The Ministerial Commissioner told at the press conference on the renewing cafeteria system that the encouraging card payments and use of POS terminals are national economic goals.
He drew attention that in Hungary the ratio of retail card payments is only 25 percent, while in Western Europe it is 75-80 percent. If this level could be reached in Hungary, according to the calculations of the the Hungarian National Bank (MNB); an annual one hundred billion HUF could be saved – reports MTI.
