Szent György-hegyi wine days: it is worth developing in the natural environment with small steps, in a landscape-specific way
It is worthwhile to carry out developments that match the landscape with small steps, in a manner consistent with the landscape, paying attention to how the environment reacts to this – the Minister of Public Administration and Regional Development emphasized at the opening of the Szent György-hegy wine days in Hegymagas village on Tuesday.
Tibor Navracsics said that the goal is to work together with local municipalities to preserve St. George’s Hill for future generations, protecting its natural beauty. He added that the long-standing Szent György-hegyi Days event series, which will be organized for the 29th time this year, also contributes to all of this.
Szent György-hegy is a characteristic feature of Hungary that created culture. After the handover of the guest house in Kisapát, the renovation of the Szent György-hegyi stairs will begin. With small steps, it will be possible to turn Szent György-hegy into a protected and safe tourist attraction in a few decades – the head of the ministry pointed out. József Marton, president of the Csobánc Mountain Village of Szent György-hegy, told MTI that the Szent György-hegy days have been organized on the occasion of St. George’s Day for about 33 years.
