Restaurant lets guests exchange waste for food
In big cities 25-35 percent of waste is biodegradable. Vienna restaurant BIOMAT adopted the concept of New York movement Hello Compost: they invite diners to bring their biodegradable waste, for which they are given discount vouchers to use in the restaurant. From the restaurant the waste is taken away to be recycled into biogas.
