Food waste produced by Tesco is constantly decreasing
According to the report, the store chain has more than halved the amount of food waste generated during its operation since 2016/17, ten years ahead of the UN Sustainable Development Goals for 2030. The report also points out that Tesco produced 36 percent less food waste in Hungary than in the previous year and 63 percent less than in the base year 2016/2017, while in four years it produced more than 60 million portions of food, ie a total of 24,253 tons of food. donated to those in need through its partner, the Hungarian Food Bank Association.
