Kaufland Expands Vegan Offering With New Meat Alternatives
German retailer Kaufland has added three vegan meat products to its ‘K-take it veggie’ private-label brand.
The new additions include vegan versions of burger patties, meatballs, and cevapcici – a grilled minced meat sausage, popular in the Balkan countries.
The products, made of pea protein, are free from soy and artificial flavours, the retailer said.
The brand now offers more than 50 vegetarian and vegan products such as tofu, schnitzel, lasagna or falafel, spreads, cold cuts, yoghurt, snacks, and milk substitutes.
