The Catholic Caritas collected one hundred and eighty tonnes of foods for the needy
More than 180 tonnes of food products arrived to the Lenten permanent food collection of action of the Catholic Caritas. The organization will also make Easter gift packs to the needy.
The more than 180 tonnes of food donations will be transported to an average of 22 thousands families Nationwide, before the Easter holidays – the organization told MTI.
An average package weights eight-kilogram and includes flour, oil, rice, sugar, pasta, canned food, tea, canned ready meals and sweets. The Easter gift packages were made by volunteers in several places. (MTI)
