Századvég: GDP may grow by 4.8 percent this year
The Századvég Economic Researcher revised its GDP growth forecast to 4.8 percent this year and expects a growth of 3.9 percent by 2020, but notes that weakness in the German economy, Brexit, lack of improvement in competitiveness and risks to long-term growth are all mean risk as well as the weak forint.
The economy researcher reminded MTI in its latest forecast on Monday that the Hungarian economy continued to grow dynamically in the second quarter, up 4.9 percent year-on-year, while the country’s most important foreign trade partner, Germany, stagnated. (MTI)
