Századvég: the European Commission made a significant contribution to the serious energy situation
The business manager of Századvég Konjunktúrakutató Zrt. on the current channel M1 on Wednesday blamed the European Commission for the “marked” part of the serious energy situation.
If it were up to the European Commission, the European Union would not buy Russian gas since April, Olivér Hortay said.
The strong floating of sanctions, the argument in favor of their introduction, the committee’s communication around the shutdown of Nord Stream 1 raised energy prices, said the head of the energy and climate policy department. He added that this means income for Russia and additional costs for Europe.
Olivér Hortay called it unfair that the member countries would help each other out if necessary on a solidarity basis
It would result in an unfair situation if irresponsible farming member states had to be supplied with gas by responsible farmers, he said. All this in the way that in recent months irresponsible farmers have often attacked responsible farming member states – he added.
