Tesco’s time-travelling Christmas advert will celebrate its 100th anniversary
Tesco has unveiled its 2019 Christmas advertising campaign by sending one of its delivery drivers back in time to celebrate the Big 4 giant’s 100th anniversary.
The grocer said its Back To The Future-influenced Christmas advert is intended to highlight its role “delivering Christmas to the nation for the past 100 years”.
The advert depicts a Tesco delivery driver named Joel, whose van gets caught up in Christmas lights that takes him back in time, whereby he arrives with his lorry full of food in various years throughout the past century.
Like its rival, Sainsbury’s festive adverts celebrates its milestone year of operating as a business – 150 years.
