Nébih destroyed one hundred tons of contaminated Polish potatoes
The National Food Chain Safety Office (Nébih) destroyed one hundred tons of contaminated Polish potatoes, because the authority’s Bacteriological Laboratory found bacterias in it – Nébih informed MTI on Wednesday.
The shipment was seized in October. Nothing could be marketed from the contaminated potatoes – stresses the agency in its communication. After the incident, Nébih’s Plant, Soil and Agricultural Environment Protection Board ordered the increased control of potato shipments from Poland. (MTI)
