Truffles celebration in Jászivány

Truffle searching dogs competition, players search for mushrooms, fair, background music, exhibitions, professional lectures and free tastings are awaiting those who visit the Truffles celebration in Jászivány during the weekend on 15 and 16 August.

Bagi István, one of the organizers of the event told MTI that all foods that are offered at the festival will be made with truffles.

He mentioned that one of the largest truffle habitat of Central Europe can be found in Jászivány. Hungary's largest (almost 1.3 kilograms summer truffle) was found near Jászivány on 25 July 2014, which can be seen in the Hungarian Agricultural Museum. (MTI)
