Trade flow is becoming more and more significant on the Silk Road
The rail freight trade between China and Europe is growing at a remarkable pace: the network can no longer handle the load, although Beijing is investing huge amounts of money on infrastructure – origo.hu wrote. The world’s largest investment project, the One Zone One Road – originally called the New Silk Route – was launched in 2013.
China nowadays launches 13-14 containers per day to Europe, which is nearly 5 thosand a year.
Last year, the historic Silk Road also reached Budapest: the container train of 41 wagons arrived to the Hungarian capital in 16 days from the Chinese city of Chiangma. (origo)
