HEINEKEN Hungária is ready for the season
HEINEKEN Hungária beers are preparing for the season with many surprises. Sales director Gheorghe-Sever Andresz and marketing and trade marketing director Jan-Willem Van Wensem talked to our magazine about new products and activities. They told that last year they put 22 new products on the market at the same time. For instance Soproni Fresh Draught is a truly unique innovation, appreciated by the whole Heineken group. Recently Heineken Hungária put into operation a new EUR 1.8-million multipacker production line in the Sopron brewery. For the summer season the company is preparing with two new 2-percent abv flavoured products: Soproni 2% Lime-guava and Soproni 2% Grapefruit-ginger. The multipack segment and products smaller than 0.5l can be the hits of the summer. 0.4l Soproni Classic is a new innovation coming out this season in the medium-priced category. Those who prefer cider to beer will be happy to hear that the new-recipe Strongbow cider will refresh them in the summer heat. Soproni has been Hungary’s favourite beer brand for several years. The brand’s new message focuses on the power of joining forces, with the slogan ‘Together, full of optimism!’ Soproni is 120 years old this year and the company celebrates with a beer festival in Sopron in the middle of May. The Arany Fácán brand’s first integrated marketing campaign was launched in January. HEINEKEN Hungária sponsors 70 from the approximately 100 summer festivals organised in Hungary. The biggest ones are Balaton Sound, Campus, Efott, Volt, Fishig on Orfű (sponsored via Gösser) or the East Fest in Mezőtúr (sponsored via Arany Fácán). Heineken’s global football Champions League promotion is still under way, implemented with TV commercials, on digital platforms, by special product packaging and a prize game.
