Hotel Association: double-digit growth in the turnover of the hotels in Hungary
In the first seven months of the year the gross turnover of hotels in Hungary was 11.2 percent higher than in the previous year. The turnover amounted to 179.13 billion HUF – according to the latest analysis of the Hungarian Association of Hotels and Restaurants (MSZÉSZ).
The gross room revenue of hotels increased by 13.3 percent to 102.8 billion HUF.
The gross revenue of the hotels in Budapest increased by 14.2 percent to 88.167 billion HUF while room revenues rose by 15.7 percent to 55.3 billion HUF in January-July this year.
In the first seven months, the number of domestic overnight stays in hotels were 8.1 percent, higher, the guest nights of foreign guests were 5.4 percent higher than in 2014. (MTI)
