Romanian retail sales expanded significantly
In the first eight months, the volume of retail sales in Romania increased by 16.3 percent, compared to the same period last year – the Romanian national statistical institute annponced on Thursday.
The food sales grew by 19.4 percent in the period under review, while non-food sales increased by 16.1 percent, and the fuel sales by 11.9 percent.
According to the seasonally and calendar-adjusted value, the volume of retail sales increased by 15.9 percent. (MTI)
