Syngenta: crop prospects are good in the Hungarian sweetcorn sector
Larger crops can be harvested this year by the domestic sweetcorn growers. Hungary continues to be the leader in both the production and the export of frozen and canned finished products in Europe – was said at Syngenta’s event in Kaba.
As in the past year, the domestic manufacturing industry is preparing with about half a million tons of sugar processing capacity for this season – according to Syngenta. The export markets are price-sensitive but stable this year. At the beginning of the season alone, there was some uncertainty about the decline in buying prices and the profitability of production.
