Stress management guide
We are living turbulent times: companies are leaving the country, employees are laid off and there are restructuring processes under way everywhere. This lack of stability puts great pressure on us – the question is how we can cope with it.
It was Hungarian scientist János Sellye who first used the term ‘stress’ to describe the symptoms. Stress is manifested differently in each individual, depending on our internal reactions to events and expectations. If you do not know what is happening to us and keep thinking about possible outcomes, a stress situation might occur. How can you ease the pressure in your everyday life? First and foremost, you have to get to know yourself. Think positively: you can do it because you are capable of doing it – you are the best in what you are doing. Do not delay decisions and reduce the significance of results in your thinking. What is really important for you is to know that you did your best to achieve the desired results, so you do not have to be stressed out about the result. Before thinking about how to achieve your goals and when, first you have to define the goal itself – possibly with the help of someone you know as they see you from an external perspective and therefore can make useful suggestions. What kind of characteristics can help you in performing well? Passion, enthusiasm, faith, simplicity, a sense of reality, credibility and self-motivation can all contribute to your successful career.Related news
