The Body Shop, an international cosmetics company, and TOURMIX, a Hungarian green logistics startup, enter into a strategic partnership
Two key players in the sustainability market, The Body Shop, a company that specializes in animal- and environmentally friendly nature-inspired cosmetics, and TOURMIX, a green logistics startup, have started a collaboration. The cosmetics chain, which has seven stores in Hungary and a history of more than ten years in Hungary, and the representatives of the initiative that strengthens urban sustainability see that they can mutually raise their activities to a new level.
The Body Shop and TOURMIX have a common mission: to make sustainability accessible and attractive to everyone. In addition to their environmentally friendly operations, they provide a shopping experience that can convince anyone that it is worth incorporating sustainability into our everyday lives. Vegan cosmetics and flexible, human-friendly couriers prove to all of us that a green lifestyle brings new experiences and opportunities rather than sacrifices.
More than a thousand mixers have already joined
Tourmix, the Hungarian logistics startup, is responding to a pressing problem in our world today: e-commerce is putting an ever-increasing burden on our environment and our cities. In today’s fast-paced world, online ordering is a customer need that cannot and should not be eliminated, but it can be reformed. Tourmix works with existing resources, entrusting delivery to city commuters, the so-called mixers, who deliver packages to their homes by bicycle, on foot, or even by public transport. More than 1,000 mixers have already joined the initiative, proving every day that there is a sustainable and flexible way to deliver packages in the city. If a mixer delivers a package at the end of each working day, with an average of only 5-8 minutes of detour, they can earn around 20-22,000 HUF per month, and this figure can be up to 264,000 HUF per year. It is therefore not surprising that The Body Shop was also interested in the service.
