Stability and development by Magyar Cukor

Though Hungary has become a net importer of sugar, Koronás Cukor, the leading local brand continues to be manufactured in the Kaposvár plant. The only remaining Hungarian manufacturer, Magyar Cukor Zrt., remains optimistic and plans to expand its production next year. The authorised local quota of 105000 tonnes is to be manufactured by the Kaposvár plant, where the new bio gas production system has turned out to be very successful, supplying nearly 50 percent of the energy used by the plant.
