Günther Ahmed Rusznak, CEO of the Islamic Information, Documentation and Certification GmbH (IIDZ) told our magazine that there are about 1.5 billion Muslim people all over the world and food companies see great potential in them. Halal certification ensures that products in both the FMCG and HORECA sectors reach Muslim consumers, and at the same time it guarantees that the certified products are of excellent quality. IIDZ regularly meets the strict accreditation requirements and is authorised to issue Halal certifications all over the world. The Halal certification supplements partners’ existing quality assurance systems. IIDZ examines not only the end product in question, but also the ingredients and the production technology used.
