Specialised and convenience focused innovations
Sales of household chemical and body care products can be boosted substantially by the introduction of innovative products. Specialised detergents are in high demand, for example. According to research by Nielsen, one of the main trends in innovation is to make products more convenient to use. A good example of increasing demand for convenience products is the growth in sales of household paper products. Paper tissue in boxes is popular as it is easier to use. Perfumed products are also increasingly popular. New detergents have a longer lasting and more complex disinfecting effect which also serves convenience.
