SPAR – by planting indigenous fruit trees to reduce the carbon footprint
The first event emphasizing carbon awareness was organized and then evaluated by SPAR. The company compensates the carbon dioxide emissions of the partner event of the Budapest Wine Festival by planting 392 indigenous fruit trees.
“The world we live in is fragile, so we must do everything we can to protect it in our own way. For many years, SPAR Hungary has been consciously striving to ensure that the operation of its stores, the production and distribution of products, and the organization of its various events take place along these lines. At this year’s Budapest Wine Festival, we created SPAR’s partner event in such a way as to leave behind the smallest possible carbon footprint. We voluntarily compensate the emissions generated by the organization, energy consumption, guests’ travel and meals by planting indigenous fruit trees”
– summed up Márk Maczelka, head of communications at SPAR Hungary.
