SPAR customers helped with a record number of food donations

The “It is Good to Give!” charity action got together tens of thousands of people. Within the 21st charity initiative of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service and SPAR, a total of over 309 tons of food have been collected, enabling to prepare 34 thousand gift packages.

The Hungarian Maltese Charity Service and SPAR Hungary jointly organized the”It is Good to Give!” charity action, between 14 and 19 December this year. More than 3500 volunteers of the charity organization awaited the customers in 161 SPAR and INTERSPAR of the country. During the six days of the collection, a record number of 309 tons of food was donated to customers, of which 34,000 gift packages were compiled by the staff of the Hungarian Maltese Charity Service.
