SPAR: 1.4 billion forint development in Pápa and Miskolc

INTERSPAR hypermarket in Pápa has been renovated

More than 760 million forints worth of development took place in INTERSPAR in Pápa – which operates as part of the Prémium Center shopping mall. The hypermarket, with a sales area of ​​4,100 square meters, has been renovated based on the latest INTERSPAR concept, where modernity and customer comfort have both been given a prominent role. In the sales area, the refrigerated cabinets for dairy products, seasonal goods, and the meat and vegetable department have been completely renovated, and the non-food departments – including the household, cosmetics, and underwear offerings – have also received new equipment and decoration. A new bread slicer serves the convenience of customers in the bakery department, while fresh, locally grilled dishes are offered in self-service warmers. The renewed Wine World department and the beverage department also await visitors with a fresh look. Customers are welcomed by a spacious, transformed checkout zone, in which 10 traditional and 8 more self-service checkouts than before help with quick payment. A more comfortable working environment has also been created in the back rooms: the offices have been partially transformed and have been given new equipment. In the spirit of environmentally conscious operation, new LED lighting has been installed in the store, and the convenience of customers continues to be ensured by the shopping center’s bicycle storage and parking lot. Customers can drop off returnable packaging at the REpont collection point, and other selective waste in special collectors designed for this purpose. 59 dedicated employees assist customers every day in the renewed INTERSPAR in Pápa.

The INTERSPAR brand is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. The hypermarket format has been synonymous with stability, excellent quality and support for domestic producers for the past three decades – and is still a defining pillar of SPAR Hungary’s modern commercial strategy today.

Modern, environmentally conscious SPAR supermarket in Miskolc

The SPAR supermarket located on Fényi Gyula Square in Miskolc has reopened its doors after a complete renovation worth approximately 640 million forints. The 644 square meter sales area awaits customers with new, modern equipment, a renewed image and expanded services. At the entrance, the fruit and vegetable department and the sale zone in a clearly visible location welcome customers. From here, the shopping route continues along the refrigerated counters of convenience products, dairy products and deli meats to the bakery and the self-service grill warmer, where freshly grilled dishes cooked on site enrich the range. This is followed by the renewed deli counter, which offers a wide selection of cold cuts, cheeses and fresh meat products. Customers can then reach the beverage department and then the range of mirelit products. New LED lighting and a carbon dioxide-based, environmentally friendly refrigeration system ensure energy-efficient operation in the store. The parking lot also has 29 spaces and bicycle storage. Customers can drop off returnable packaging materials at the REpont collection point or in the waste containers located there. A 20-person, well-trained team ensures high-quality customer service at the SPAR supermarket in Miskolc.
