Mexican beer brand Corona organised a plastic fishing contest in Mazatlán last year, to raise awareness of how polluted Mexico Bay is. Participants had to collect plastic from the Pacific Ocean and in just four hours 60 ‘fishermen’ on 30 boats collected 2.9 tonnes of plastic from the sea.
