Cash usage costs a lot
From March, new two thousand and five thousand forint banknotes will arrive to everyday life. The new, modern banknotes are needed, but it is worth to make steps towards a cash free world, because in Hungary 4434 billion HUF cash is revolving in the economy – tozsdeforum.hu. quotes the communication of BankRáció.hu.
Yet the cash has a significant cost (0.5-1.5 percent of GDP) amounting to tens of billions of HUF. However, the good news is that the number of card payments and bank cards are increasing as well. According to the latest data, at the end of September last year the number of credit cards reached more than 9 million. (tozsdeforum.hu)
