There are many myths in connection with milk
Despite the fact that with their 68.9 liters per year consumption, the Hungarians have always been a “milk great power,” a 3 percent decrease occured in the Hungarian milk consumption.
Therefore, Tetra Pak Hungária with the help of GfK Hungária Market Research Institute investigated these myths with the staff of the National Food and Nutrition Institute, to give clear and credible answers to the consumers.
Myths are:
– milk contains too many calories
– during pasteurization and UHT treatment the important nutrients are lost from the milk
– the milk sold in stores is diluted with water.
– UHT is the mixture of milk, milk powder and water, whereas UHT milk produced from only fresh milk.
