Rethinking Plant-Based Meat Alternatives compares the most widely eaten types of meat with three categories of plant-based meat substitutes available in the UK. It turns out that the three plant-based substitutes contain fewer calories, less saturated fat and more dietary fibre than meat products in general. The study also claims that the new packaged meat alternatives are 73% more expensive per 100g than meat. //
