Slower growth
Between January and April 2017 more than HUF 11 billion worth of pasta was sold in Hungary. Both value and volume sales were up 2 percent. Small shops belonging to chains had the biggest share in value sales, 24 percent. Hypermarkets followed next with a 21-percent share. Discount supermarkets were at 19 percent and large shops belonging to retail chains had a 17-percent share. Independent stores’ share was 20 percent in pasta sales.
