Simone Bagel-Trah became the new chairman of Henkel's owner committee
Simone Bagel-Trah has been elected as the new president of Henkel’s owner committee, who will gain the chairmanship of the Supervisory Board on Tuesday. The new president takes over the place of Albrecht Woeste, who has served since 1990.
Albrecht Woeste announced in April 2008 to propose the 40-year old Simone Bagel-Trah doctorated from microbiology as his successor. Albrecht Woeste played a significant role in the life of the company for decades, as the great grandson of the company founder Fritz Henkel, representing the fourth generation of the family. Dr. Simone Bagel-Trah, who is the great-great granddaughter of Fritz Henkel, is from the fifth generation of Henkel.
Simone Bagel-Trah was the supervisory board member Henkel KGaA between 2001 and 2005, since 2005 member of the Board of Shareholders, and then from 2008 member of the supervisory board.
