The first students participating in dual vocational training at Nestlé Hungária’s training center in Szerencs have successfully graduated.
This year, the first students in Szerencs graduated from Nestlé Hungária’s dual vocational training program, which taught them the basics of the electrician profession. Three of the six students will continue their careers at Nestlé’s local factory.
The program is an integral part of Nestlé’s global strategy, which aims to create opportunities for 10 million young people worldwide to try their hand at the world of work by 2030 through internships, mentoring programs, and training. Nestlé Hungária launched its first dual vocational training program in 2021 at the Purina factory in Bük, with electrician and electronics technician training. Building on the experiences of the Bük program, the initiative was extended to Szerencs in 2023.
The modern training center established in the Szerencs factory provides practical training with state-of-the-art classrooms and equipment, in which young people can learn the basics of the profession in small groups, with intensive mentoring and in a real production environment. The effectiveness and practical significance of the program is clearly demonstrated by the fact that three of the students from the current graduating class will start working at the Szerencs factory from July 1, 2025. The dual training program not only represents a strategic advantage for Nestlé Hungária, but also significantly contributes to the professional development of the local community and the integration of young people into the labor market. Such initiatives reinforce the company’s commitment to long-term sustainable development and support for young generations.
“As part of the Nestlé for Youth initiative, we have been supporting the employment of young people in Hungary with various university and mentoring programs and vocational training since 2014. Within the framework of the program, hundreds of young people have been given the opportunity to gain modern professional knowledge and practical experience,”
explains Péter Noszek, CEO of Nestlé Hungária.
He added:
“The dual vocational training programs in Szerencs and Bük further strengthen this commitment, contributing to the professional development and competitiveness of Hungarian young people in the labor market.”
Nestlé Hungária will continue to pay special attention to the training of young professionals in the future and intends to provide additional opportunities within the framework of dual vocational training programs.
