First Trade Marketing Club Online – Promo Online Coming Next Week
The first online meeting of the Trade Marketing Club “First Hand Info from Market Researchers ” was succesfully organised with nearly 70 participants, co-organized by Trade Magazine and POPAI Hungary on the afternoon of April 23rd. The traditional April meeting was now held in cyberspace for the first time, involving five market researchers. In the two-and-a-half-hour virtual hours, the topic was partly the most exciting results of last year and the data seen so far this year. The speakers also looked into the first quarter of 2020.
The event was hosted and moderated by Hermann Zsuzsanna, CEO and editor-in-chief of Trade magazine, one of the founders of Trade Marketing Club. In her introduction, she emphasized that in addition to the summary for 2019, each speaker also addresses the current and possible future trends and orientations.
The lectures were started by Tünde Turcsán, GfK’s commercial manager. She pointed out in her introduction that 2019 swept events with such momentum as if it had only ended in February, then involuntarily, a pandemic was needed to break the momentum.
According to Dóra Hajnal, senior consultant at Nielsen, from March, as if we had started reading a new book, events took a different direction, yet it is possible to typify phases and draw longer-term conclusions.
The importance of Hungarian chains was further strengthened by the new situation, as proximity and the assortment of goods became more valuable, said Andreas Christou, Managing Director of RetailZoom.
Many have been forced by the viral situation to order food online for the first time in their lives, so they have lost their “online virginity,” said Madar Norbert, senior consultant at GKI Digital, in a presentation on e-commerce trends.
Finally, Tímea Orbán, country manager of Offerista Group, presented the recent research of prospecto.hu’s Hungarian platform and application on the impact of the coronavirus on customers.
A detailed report on the content of the lectures can be found in the following issue of Trade magazine, 5-6. will be available to read. And the line-up will continue next Thursday, April 30, with a full-day conference on the present and future of promotions, also with current market research and the presentation of many successful promotions.
