Successful cooperation between Emmi and Dachser

Switzerland’s largest dairy food processor Emmi and Dachser Food Logistics, one of the leading service providers of temperature controlled foodstuffs logistics in Germany, have signed a contract for storage and distribution logistics for the German market.

With effect from 1 July, Dachser Food Logistics will handle the logistics for Emmi’s dairy and fresh produce, as well as those for Swiss cheese. Around 3,000 pallets slots at the Allgäu logistics centre in Memmingen will be dedicated to Emmi Germany. At the centre the Emmi products, of which more than two thirds stem from Switzerland, will be consolidated with those from Germany, Italy and other countries. They will then be picked and delivered to customers in Germany and parts of Belgium, Luxembourg and the Netherlands. (www.dachser.com)
