Mulled wine from discarded apples by Kesko
This autumn Finland’s Kesko is to roll out a mulled wine product: Hyvis Glögi will be made of apples that are edible but not deemed fit for sale in supermarkets due to their appearance. The retailer informed that more than 9,000 bottles of Hyvis Glögi have already been sold in advance. K Group is actively working to reduce food waste: in 2020 K-food stores cut waste by 9 percent.
