SAP: A big leap in PwC’s enterprise resource planning
PwC Takes Enterprise Resource Planning to the Next Level–has successfully launched the SAP Cloud ERP solution, a significant milestone in modernizing and unifying the firm’s operations. The new platform now connects more than 100,000 PwC professionals in 19 countries. In addition to increasing efficiency and reducing costs, the implementation also enables artificial intelligence-based innovations and advanced business analytics.
PwC, one of the world’s leading accounting and business consulting firms, called on SAP for its global ERP transformation. The transformation was implemented using SAP Business Suite solutions – including SAP Cloud ERP, SAP Business Technology Platform (SAP BTP), SAP Concur, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Datasphere, SAP Advanced Financial Closing, SAP Cloud ERP Group Reporting, SAP Risk & Assurance Management, and SAP Enable Now. As a result of the transition, more than 100,000 PwC professionals in 19 countries now work on a single, unified ERP platform.
The program, developed in close collaboration, replaces the highly customized legacy SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC) software and the mixed use of fragmented SAP and external systems. This creates a more agile, more scalable, and standardized environment for operations. PwC will continue to leverage Joule Copilot and SAP Business AI to unlock new opportunities for efficiency, innovation and business intelligence.
SAP Cloud ERP supports comprehensive financial and project operations, including invoicing, revenue recognition, cash-based accounting and treasury functions. It reduces operational complexity, improves user self-service, and reduces support and maintenance requirements.
PwC says the partnership with SAP was key to the company’s successful implementation, which is one of its largest to date. The go-live has been successful and results are visible from day one. The move to SAP Cloud ERP will enable greater connectivity across the company, simplify operations, and equip employees with the tools and information to better serve clients. Leveraging SAP’s native capabilities and industry-leading practices, PwC can better automate and streamline its processes. The solution also enables AI-powered insights, agent-like AI innovations, and advanced analytics—all while maintaining standardization as a core principle. PwC’s SAP Managed Services team is working with SAP on a modernized foundation and is also exploring future data management and analytics developments with the SAP Business Data Cloud solution.
“PwC is a key partner for SAP, both in Hungary and globally. This large-scale Cloud ERP implementation at PwC is a perfect example of how digital transformation can simultaneously increase efficiency, strengthen collaboration, and create new business opportunities in the fields of data management and business intelligence,” said Péter Hidvégi, Managing Director of SAP Hungary.
