SPAR presents its own brand offering with Roland Sallai

SPAR Hungary is launching a nationwide campaign with Roland Sallai, a key player for the Hungarian national football team. The company is proud of the quality of its own-brand products and believes that those who choose them are not making a compromise, but making a conscious purchasing decision. Sallai represents this message in the campaign with his personal authenticity.

The aim of our cooperation with Roland Sallai is to show that a conscious choice is not a compromise, but an opportunity – whether it is about everyday shopping or an important decision on the pitch,”

In 2024, SPAR Hungary expanded its own-brand offering with significant changes. The past year was about developments that took place in the background, but also brought spectacular results for customers: several product lines had their packaging updated, a new cosmetics brand was launched, and more than four hundred new items were added to the shelves in the food and cosmetics and chemical product categories.

By incorporating customer feedback, SPAR has been developing its own brand products for the sixteenth year. The selection ranges from the good-value S-BUDGET offering to SPAR Premium delicacies, covering needs from meat products and plant-based drinks to vegetables and fruits, pasta and snacks to kitchen cleaning products. At the end of 2024, more than 4,500 private label products were available in SPAR’s range: more than 2,600 food products, 260 chemical products, nearly 150 meat products, more than 1,300 non-food products, and 120 convenience foods, such as sandwiches, ready-made meals and fresh salads.

In this constantly renewing environment, a new element is now appearing: for the first time, SPAR has chosen a well-known but also personal athlete for its national campaign, who represents the importance of conscious decisions with his own experiences and credibility. Roland Sallai, a player of the Hungarian national football team, is not only the face of the advertisement, but is also a regular consumer of SPAR’s private label products. In the campaign film, he talks not only about his sporting successes, but also about the thinking behind the decisions, perseverance and human values. The television appearance debuted on August 13, 2025, first within the framework of the UEFA Super Cup broadcast, and then customers can encounter it on additional channels, outdoor surfaces, store installations and online. From August 21, 2025, the SPAR Verde water “Goal Joy” collection, with Sallai’s photos, will also appear on store shelves, accompanied by prize games.
