Cream cheese from Trappist? Sounds good and can already be found in shops!
In Hungary Trappist is the most popular cheese variety by far, this is why Alföldi Tej Kft. is launching a cream cheese product made from 100% Trappist cheese. According to the results of a survey commissioned by Alföldi Tej in 2022, 80% of Hungarians eat cheese – mainly Trappist – regularly.
The new product came out in the Székesfehérvár-based dairy company’s Magyar Tej range: Magyar Sajtkrém cream cheese hit the shops in plain, chilli and Gyulai salami variants; the company has also thought of shoppers suffering from food intolerance, so the plain variant can be bought in lactose-free version too. The product’s minimum fat content is 40%, and it is available in practical 100g size. As the company’s survey found that shoppers like the red, white and green colour combination of Magyar Tej products, the new product range rolls out with this popular design – with the exception of the lactose-free cream cheese, which differentiates itself with its violet colour.
Alföldi Tej doesn’t stop with innovation work here! Butter spread Magyar Vajkrém will enter the market in the months to come, treating butter spread and category leading Magyar Vaj butter lovers to many types of delicious bites. (x)
