The Downtown Cheese Festival debuts with cheese auction and open-view kitchen shows
Cheese-making courses, open kitchen and cheese auction will await the guests of the 1st Downtown Cheese Festival (Belvárosi Sajtfesztivál) from Friday to Sunday at the Erzsébet square in Budapest.
The country's best cheese houses will present their products at the culinary festival. During the three-day exhibition the guests can taste hundreds products of thirty exhibitors, and can also learn how they can make cheese at home.
At the festival, the visitors can find the matching wines, brandies, and even quality salami and mangalica ham products as well. Fifteen Hungarian cheese houses and three wineries and palinka houses will represent themselves. (MTI)
