Cheese to be made from powdered milk in Italy too?
The European Commission would like Italy to end the ban on the use of milk powder, condensed milk and reconstituted milk in manufacturing cheese and other dairy products. The Italian government expressed that lifting the ban – which was introduced in 1974 – would have negative influence on the international prestige of Italian cheese products.
