Own webshop or online marketplace?
In a growing number of countries there is a trend of online marketplaces offering a selection of various private labels in one place.

While it may seem easy to reach new customers by appearing on such platforms, this move can jeopardise the efficient operation and the reputation of large grocery chains in many ways, according to Peter Menky, chief commercial officer of DODO Group. “At online marketplace a popular private label may make some profit, but it loses direct contact with its customers”, he stressed. //
