Diverzum enters the international market with its own capital

Diverzum, the digital discount platform targeting students, has reached another significant milestone on the occasion of its four-year anniversary. In a groundbreaking move in the international startup scene, it launched in Romania using its own capital, without the involvement of external investors. The news was announced at the company’s 4th birthday celebration.

“As a startup, we did not start out of a lack of wealth, but we managed to create value from the initial lack of funds, even with only 200 thousand euros. Now we have reached the point where we are expanding on our own resources.”

– emphasized Fanni Gyarmati and László Miki, the founders of Diverzum.

“We consider it a great achievement that we were able to do all this with our own capital, which is a rarity in the startup market. We definitely wanted this, it means more freedom of decision-making, and it also indicates that we have already created a self-sustaining solution on the Hungarian market.”

Preparations for entering the Romanian market began in June, the platform was launched in early September They now have 5,000 registered users and 15 partners, and these numbers are constantly growing. During the launch, Diverzum entered into partnerships with brands with a global presence that are also key players in Hungary and have already proven their commitment to the young generations.

In the new market, Diverzum also places great emphasis not only on the introduction of the service, but also on shaping social attitudes.

2025. In September, the platform’s monthly turnover reached a record high, to approximately 1.1 billion HUF – almost tripling the monthly spending of students compared to October of the previous year.

While until January 2025, students had saved a total of 1 billion HUF through the platform, the same value has now exceeded 2 billion. This year’s goal is to reach 2.5 billion forints in student discount usage.

According to a Diverzum survey, a student spends an average of 245,000 HUF per month, with the largest proportion on shopping, fashion, and services.

70% of students activate a discount on Diverzum at least once a week.
