Edeka To Launch Own-Brand Vegan Patties And Mince
German retailer Edeka has announced plans to roll out a new range of private-label vegan burger patties and mince branded as No Meat. Just in March of this year.
The products, made of plant-based ingredients, imitate meat in taste, texture, and flavour, the retailer said.
No Meat. Just Burger patties will be offered in two variants – deep-frozen and fresh.
The deep-frozen patties are made of pea proteins, rapeseed oil, herbs, and spices, while fresh patties use soy proteins, sunflower oil, and spices.
The soy-based vegan mince, No Meat. Just Hack, is suitable for preparing several dishes including bolognese sauce, the retailer added.
