S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy: Hungarian talent is also among the finalists of the Southern European and Mediterranean region
The S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy has announced the list of regional finalists for the 2024-25 S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy competition. The goal of this exciting international initiative is to find and support talented chefs under the age of 30 worldwide who are pushing the boundaries of gastronomy.
Applicants have the opportunity to build relationships with the most influential players in the world of gastronomy and shape the community with their unique culinary vision. The competition attracted thousands of interested people worldwide, and finally 165 young chefs can present their talent and passion in the regional finals, thus getting one step closer to the grand final of the prestigious competition.
The applications and unique dishes of the applicants were judged by the “International School of Italian Culinary Arts”, that is, the recognized organization called ALMA. The ALMA experts kept three aspects in mind during the decision: in addition to technical skills and creativity, they took into account the chefs’ personal belief in the community-forming power of gastronomy and its positive impact on society.
“Since the beginning, we have been cooperating in the organization of the S.Pellegrino Young Chef Academy competition, yet every year we are surprised by the passionate commitment of the candidates, they are able to surpass themselves year after year”
said Matteo Berti, Director of Education at ALMA.
